On February 28, 2019, the 4th China Design Intelligence Award (hereinafter referred to as "DIA") was officially launched to collect outstanding design works from all over the world. DIA is sponsored by China Academy of Art, co-organized by China Industrial Design Association and the Industrial Design Teaching Guidance Sub-Committee of the Ministry of Education, and supported by Zhejiang Provincial People's Government. As the first international academy Award in the field of industrial design in China, DIA aims to create a centennial design award, takes the award positioning of "Academy Award" and "international", takes "humanistic wisdom, life wisdom, science and art intelligence, industrial think tank" as the core values, and creates the original "Jinzhi Tower" design evaluation system. Over the past three years, the awards have covered 52 countries and regions in the world, collecting 12,952 outstanding design works. The awards have established normal cooperative relations with more than 100 design schools, industry associations, design weeks and other organizations around the world, and continue to promote the industry and social communication of excellent design, in order to "gather wisdom, shape wisdom to build the future".
The fourth Awards focus on the theme of The Times, continue to optimize the award system, with "four highlights" kicked off the new awards.
Highlight one: "New vision", interpretation design of the future new image
In order to strengthen the international brand communication power of DIA, the new version of the LOGO is a new interpretation on the basis of the original LOGO with the meaning of "wise people enjoy water" and "Oriental wisdom". The logo inherits the original visual characteristics, and is composed of black and white colors, which contains the traditional dialectical thought, but also reflects the distinct stand of the wisdom Award. The recognizable square shape, like the signature of a square seal, symbolizes DIA's recognition and authority of the winning works; The abstract geometric outline of the English abbreviation "DIA" strengthens the universality and internationality of DIA, and provides more applicability and inclusiveness for the logo in different occasions and carriers.

Highlight 2: "Four plus one", highlighting the smart design of the new system
With the continuous emergence of innovation in digital products, applications and services, human life and production are undergoing great changes. This year, DIA focuses on the broad transformation of society and industry under the influence of digital economy. On the basis of the original four categories of "cultural and creative products, daily life, industrial equipment, science and technology frontier", a new category of "Information interaction" is added, which is mainly for software design focusing on user experience and business model innovation. The entries include but are not limited to digital products and services in industrial production, efficient office work, urban services, medical and health care, transportation, leisure and entertainment, social communication, home life, education and training and other fields.

Highlight 3: "Double million", leading the new trend of design development
DIA's top prize winners have become a hot topic in the industry. The second DIA Gold Award was awarded to "Hello Ruby" (Finland) and "Little Black Man" respectively, reflecting the award's focus on the future of children's education and technological innovation. The third Gold award was awarded to the "New generation power centralized EMU" and "Parking AGV". Both of the two works reflect the advanced level of Chinese design wisdom and manufacturing to varying degrees, as well as the positive effect on the improvement of people's livelihood quality.

This year, DIA continues to set up the "Double Million Award" with a total bonus pool of 5.95 million yuan, guiding the development of the industry with excellent design and innovation cases and arousing social attention. Among them, there are gold Award (2 items, 1 million yuan/item), silver award (10 items, 200,000 yuan/item), bronze award (10 items, 100,000 yuan/item) and Excellent award (about 300 items, subject to the final result). The "Design Yiwu" special award has the first prize (2, 150,000 yuan/item), the second prize (3, 100,000 yuan/item), the third prize (5, 50,000 yuan/item) and the excellence award (10, 10,000 yuan/item).
Highlight 4: "Eight channels", practice the new mode of design transformation
This year, DIA will continue to carry out industrial transformation of excellent competition results and open "eight transformation channels" to promote the new development of design and manufacturing industry. With the support of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology and Department of Science and Technology, to carry out the auction of design achievements with Zhejiang Science and Technology market; Cooperate with China Zhejiang online Technology Market to promote the transfer of design results; Design achievements docking with manufacturing industrial cluster bases of Zhejiang hardware industry, shipbuilding industry, molding industry, etc. Carry out incubation activities of design achievements with commercial institutions such as Jingdong Crowdcreate, NetEase Yanxuan and Suning Finance; Carry out design commercial performance activities with Yiwu Trade City, Ocean Ledi Port and other commercial entities; Construction of "collaborative innovation platform for design industry", and construction of accurate matching of design projects; Initiated the collaborative innovation plan of "Science and Art Integration" in the design industry in cooperation with Prelim 3D printing platform; In cooperation with Yiwu Municipal Government, innovative design vouchers will be issued to outstanding design enterprises.
