It is understood that Tsinghua Tongfang's "Huiyan Da" intelligent traffic video analysis system was independently developed by its wholly-owned subsidiary Beijing Tongfang Software Co., LTD., which adopted mutation detection, artificial intelligence and video big data analysis technologies to realize real-time monitoring and warning and intelligent alarm of highway network operation conditions and traffic events, and created video big data applications in the traffic industry. It serves the typical mode of government decision-making and public travel accurately.
The system was officially put into trial operation in Henan Province in December 2016. Based on 57 monitoring sub-centers, the system calculates more than 3,500 videos in real time, covers 21 high-speed trunk lines, monitors 6,400 kilometers of high-speed mileage and more than 100,000 vehicles on the network. Deep learning and other technologies have been used to solve the problem of thousands of kilometers of blind areas in traditional monitoring equipment, and to solve the application problems in complex scenarios such as night, tunnel and bad weather.
The relevant leaders of the Ministry of Transport, Henan Province and Henan Provincial Department of Transport visited the Henan Provincial Highway Network Monitoring Center for inspection, and gave high evaluation to the outstanding performance of Tsinghua Tongfang "Huiyan Da" video intelligent analysis system used on site during the holiday of the Dragon Boat Festival on May 1. Its accurate accident and congestion recognition rate, excellent alarm and response speed, good stability and convenient operation performance have been praised by provincial and municipal leaders.
The minister stressed that the current "golden age of transportation development" is very different from the past, which cannot be separated from technological innovation and high-level information system construction, and puts forward higher requirements for management level, quality and efficiency. Tsinghua Tongfang's "Vision Vision" system plays an important role in daily monitoring and warning, data analysis, emergency rescue and public services in the "golden age of transportation development".
