Li Huisen, chairman of Infinitus, Lee Kum Kee Health Products Group and a member of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), recently submitted a proposal on deepening the training of the young generation of Chinese family businesses at the two sessions. Li Huisen, the Infinitum's main leader, further proposed training and education for the new generation of family businesses this year, after nine consecutive years of proposals on family business succession.
Infinitus Chairman Li Huisen spoke at the two sessions
As early as 10 years ago, Li Huisen learned from Infinitus' development experience and began to speak out on the issue of family business succession. Over the years, Li Huisen and Infinitus have called for social attention to the development of family business and put forward many constructive proposals and studies. In 2011, Li Huisen and Infinitus compiled the Chinese Family Business Development Report, in 2013, the Chinese Family Business Social Responsibility Report, and in 2015, the Chinese Family Business Inheritance Report, both of which have become important research documents in the field of family business.
As one of the most influential Chinese family businesses, Infinitus is owned by Hong Kong's Lee Kum Kee Group, which was founded in 1888 and has a long history of 129 years. Lee Huisen is the fourth generation of Lee Kum Kee Group chairman and Infinitus chairman. In terms of family inheritance and family governance, Infinitus has become one of the successful models among many family businesses. The Infinitus enterprise spirit, which is summarized and refined in the development practice -- pragmatic and honest, caring for people, always starting a business, and benefiting the society, has won praise from all walks of life.
Li Huisen and Infinitus Enterprise Spirit
Li Huisen believes that the common problem of family business lies in the concept of clinging to the family business. The first generation starts the business, the second generation maintains the business, and the third generation fails. The vast majority of family businesses have gone to this road of return. "If you are always starting a business instead of keeping it, you will always be young. Keep the passion of entrepreneurship forever, and keep the sense of moving forward in the fierce competition environment and complex changes." Li Huisen, starting from "cure disease", combined with years of successful experience of Infinitus, put forward the idea of always starting a business on the concept of family business development.
Infinitus can not have today's position in the industry without the support of the government. In order to inherit and develop family businesses, in addition to internal changes, government guidance is bound to play an important role. In this regard, Li Huisen proposed in his proposal on Deepening the Training of the Young Generation of Family Businesses in China that the competent authorities of the state should cooperate with non-governmental organizations and academic institutions related to the young generation, provide support and guidance, and conduct a comprehensive and authoritative large-scale research on the young generation of family businesses, which will be conducive to the formulation and implementation of relevant policies.
The prosperity and inheritance of family business plays a decisive role in the progress of social economy. Li Huisen believes that Infinitus will always uphold the core value of "thinking and people", and play a positive role in promoting economic prosperity and development, social harmony and stability, and carrying forward the excellent Chinese culture in the process of being a person, managing a family, running enterprises and treating the society, so as to realize the sustainable development of Infinitus, so that the whole Infinitus family can live forever and be passed down from generation to generation.
