From November 1st to 5th, 2016, the 18th China International Industry Expo (CIIF) was held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai). With the theme of "Innovation, intelligence and green", the Expo strives to build a platform for the deep integration of informatization and industrialization, and promote the development of intelligent equipment and key technologies. Among them, Omron, with the innovation of "Sensing & Control + Intelligence", continues to carry the exclusive "i-Automation! Concept, with three "smart keys" to help the intelligent transformation of Chinese manufacturing.

At present, the innovation technology of industrialization driven by informatization is constantly developing, and the new industrial revolution wave characterized by digitalization, networking and intelligence is also booming, which is also in line with Omron's "i-Automation! The ideas coincide. This time, Omron set up three exhibition areas, Integrated(control lean), Intelligent(information intelligent), Interactive(machine · humanization), and strive to constantly create innovation for the manufacturing site.

Omron, known for its "Sensing & Control", is focusing on the theme of "high speed, high precision and generation innovation through Integrated technology". This time, Omron machine automation controller NX1P set PLC function and motion control function of the two advantages as one. As the leader in the SYSMAC product group for small and medium-sized devices, NX1P is suitable for electronic CAM, interpolation and other advanced motion control. NX1P also leads in network connectivity, I/O scaling, and visualization of the manufacturing field.

The NY series of industrial PC platforms combines the high accuracy and practicality of SYSMAC automation platforms with the versatility of Windows, integrating SYSMAC control with ICT to create highly reliable and innovative devices for the manufacturing field. The NY series, powered by 4th generation Intel® Celeron®, Core™ i5(or Core™ i7 processor), delivers high volume data processing and high speed, precision, and reliability.

The control cabinet solutions on display at the scene to save space and reduce wiring time have won the attention of the public. The ZW7000 3D fiber coaxial displacement sensor detection prototype is full of praise for the many materials, fast sampling speed and high detection accuracy.

In addition, Delta Tau Data Systems(DT), an American company specializing in ultra-high speed and high precision control of processing systems, has joined Omron Group. Through the application of SYSMAC's high speed and high precision hardware, the customer's field knowledge and technology can be imported as an asset in the future, and the added value of the device can be increased to enhance field productivity.

In the "Intelligent" exhibition area, Omron demonstrated the intelligent production line with high dynamic rate in the AUTO industry through prototypes and videos, as well as the cases brought by the utilization of big data for production improvement and the idea of intelligent factory. Omron believes that IoT at the production site can be integrated with high reliability performance, and can be measured at the same time of production.

Omron is targeting FA devices of 100,000 specifications, including various sensors and relays, and is expected to meet IO-Link based information communication requirements by 2020. By introducing ON/OFF signals and other production process information, the original hidden manufacturing technology is formalized. Achieve global simultaneous production and increase productivity by identifying potential improvement points. In addition, Omron is also committed to the device's own state monitoring, to achieve the abnormal alarm device self-discipline.

In the Interactive(machine · humanization) exhibition area, Omron takes the intelligent production mode of man-machine interaction as the starting point, and strives to join a variety of intelligent and flexible robot lineup in the future production site, so as to achieve human-machine harmony, safety and peace of mind intelligent production site. Omron is planning to develop a 3D safety vision system that meets safety standards for vision devices. By eliminating safety barriers and allowing free access to devices and robots, Omron will not only improve operational efficiency, but also eliminate failures caused by collisions with forklifts and processing materials and help reduce downtime.

Adept Technology, an industrial Robot manufacturer, has joined the Omron Group and is able to use ILO(Input, Logic, Output)+S(Safety)+R(Robot) control. Omron will provide one-stop solutions to improve production efficiency, which is a major task at the production site, to cope with the shortage of manpower, and to pass on technology due to the aging of skilled workers.

In addition, Omron also set up an "open-core theater" and interactive experience area in the booth. Live audiences can experience Omron's "i-Automation! It can compete with various kinds of robots in game interaction, and also experience the two worlds of reality and virtual reality through VR technology.

There is no end to innovation, and Omron will continue to build on its "i-Automation! Focusing on the key development areas of Made in China 2025, Omron is taking "Sensing & Control + Intelligence" to integrate high-precision control, information technology and human-machine harmony into China's manufacturing scene, driving the development of intelligent equipment and key technologies, and ushering in a new era of manufacturing in China.
