In 2018, for the first time in China, active safety systems such as forward collision warning (FCW) and AEB were included in the new China New Vehicle Evaluation Procedure (C-NCAP). By 2022, the US NHTSA will also include AEBs as a standard part of new vehicles, and the higher requirements will prompt a rapid increase in the global penetration of ADAS. As the core technology, sensor technology requires not only reliable stability and safety performance, but also strong mass production and production management capabilities to achieve economies of scale.

At present, due to its relatively mature technology, wide application and low cost, millimeter wave radar will have great development space in the field of automotive ADAS and autonomous driving. It is estimated that the annual shipment of global automotive millimeter wave radar will reach 132 million in 2023, with a market size of 7.3 billion US dollars, with a compound annual growth rate of 24.3%. Throughout the global market, international giants in the field of millimeter wave radar has a long history of research, profound technology accumulation, has always occupied a dominant position. Although domestic 24GHz millimeter wave radar has been widely used in blind spot detection, alarm and other systems, 77GHz millimeter wave radar is limited by the chip localization lag and other reasons, still need further research and development.

In addition, given the complex traffic environment in China, Chinese intelligent driving vehicles must adapt to more changeable road conditions. How to better realize the coordination between millimeter wave radar, camera and lidar to solve the problem of sensor data fusion is a big challenge for both international and domestic radars and Oems.

In this context, "2019 Automotive Radar and Sensor Fusion Forward-looking Technology Exhibition and Exchange Conference" will be held in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province from July 18 to 19, 2019, jointly sponsored by Suzhou High-speed Railway New Town Management Committee, Zhiauto Dealers and Shanghai Yitao Business, aiming to promote the development of automotive radar technology and promote in-depth cooperation between industry, university and research. To provide a platform for the automobile radar industry chain related customers to exchange results and discuss the development of the industry.
