★ Preface:

As an important part of the national economy, the logistics industry integrates transportation, warehousing, freight forwarding and information industries, and plays an important role in promoting the adjustment of industrial structure, transforming the mode of economic development and enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy. Meanwhile, the Medium and Long-Term Plan for the Development of Logistics Industry (2012-2020) is formulated, indicating that the logistics industry, as the accelerator of the national economy, will usher in a new period of development opportunities.

As a special economic zone and free trade zone in China, Xiamen conforms to the national strategy of "One Belt, One Road" by virtue of its unique trading port and advantages of Haixi economic zone, and focuses on the implementation of the project of building ten billion industrial chain (group) including modern logistics industry, making logistics industry one of the key industrial development points in the medium and long term of Xiamen City. At the same time, the Master Plan of Xiamen Port makes it clear that Xiamen Port is an important guarantee for the development of the west coast, the main window for the "three direct links" with Taiwan and foreign exchanges, and will gradually develop into a logistics center on the west coast of the Strait.
