A Shenzhen-based company called TTG recently listed on the Australian Stock Exchange. It is the first O2O company in China to successfully achieve an IPO, and its main business is bank card coupons. The angel investor in the company is CAI Wensheng, who just won the 2012 China Angel Investor of the Year award. This is CAI's first listed company as an angel investor.
CAI Wensheng is known as a grassroots angel. In addition to TTG, there are more than 50 projects on his investment list, including Meitu Xiuxiu, 58.com, Baofeng Video and Zhuo Master. Xiong Xiaoge, founding partner of IDG Capital, revealed in a speech at the 2012 Chuangyebang Annual meeting that two other companies invested by CAI Wensheng are in line for listing.
CAI Wensheng said, get Chuangyubang Angel Investor of the year award, is to his personal affirmation. He sees angel investors as falling into three categories: the smarter ones who take the lead in the country, the institutional angels like Innovation Works and the folk angels. As for how to be a good angel investor, CAI Wensheng's opinion is:

Second, try to invest in familiar industries, if you do not understand the project, it is difficult to succeed.
Third, as an angel investor, it is more about giving advice than giving instructions to entrepreneurs.
And entrepreneurs how to get angel investors money, CAI Wensheng revealed some super angel investment characteristics to entrepreneurs.

If you want to find Kaifu Lee's investment, you need to work hard, CAI Wensheng said, Kaifu Lee is a very rigorous person, pay attention to science, so entrepreneurs looking for his investment, the product must have verifiable, business model must stand up to scrutiny.
Lei Jun, on the other hand, likes people from big companies who have some management experience. If an entrepreneur wants to find a referral from someone he knows well, these two things will probably do the trick.
Xue Manzi is big and small, regardless of overseas returnees or grassroots, no matter what industry, almost will invest. But CAI Wensheng reveals, Xue Manzi has a shortcoming, "if you want to find him to vote, you tell him that someone else has voted, and give a discount, he will basically vote."
CAI Wensheng says he prefers grassroots entrepreneurs, followed by the number of users to see the project. "You have to have over 10 million users, preferably 100 million users, and I've always felt that users are everything. It's very rewarding because success as an investor is not necessarily measured in dollars and dollars."
