Asia (Ancient Greek: ασs-α; Latin: Asia; In Russian: Ekins e ratios; French: Asie; The full name is "Asia". It is the largest and most populous continent among the seven continents. It spans the cold, warm and hot zones, covering 8.7% of the earth's total area (or 29.4% of the total land area). The highest peak is Mount Everest. Across the longitude and latitude is very wide, east-west time difference of 11 ~ 13 hours. The west is joined to Europe, forming the largest land mass on Earth, Eurasia. There are four developed countries in Asia: Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Israel. Asia is the birthplace of the world's three major religions, Buddhism, Islam and Christianity.
