TCL Industry and TCL Technology jointly participated in the exhibition, focusing on displaying a variety of innovative display products such as Mini LED and printed OLED, and continuing to lead the global display technology upgrade.
As the Chinese brand with the largest booth area in CES 2025, TCL's exhibition area reached 2,342 square meters, showcasing cutting-edge display, AI applications, all-category intelligent IoT ecology and other technologies, products and solutions. On the first day of the opening, the TCL exhibition area attracted Sohu founder Zhang Chaoyang, Fanshu APP founder Fan Deng and many other people from the scientific and cultural fields to explore the exhibition.
Before the official launch of CES, TCL also held a new product launch conference in North America to open the world's first technology product show in the new year to define the new height of the horizon. Li Dongsheng, founder and chairperson of TCL, attended the conference, delivered an opening speech and looked forward to the future: "TCL takes the brand concept of Dare to Be Extraordinary and continues to break through innovation. Lead display upgrade
At the exhibition site, TCL Industrial showcased the world's leading Mini LED display technology and products, including the strongest 10,000-level partition QD-Mini LED TV X11K, the world's largest QD-Mini LED TV 115-inch QM891G, QD-Mini LED high-end professional display R83 series products, etc. In addition, art TVs, e-sports screens, mobile phones, tablets, projectors, Thunderbird AR glasses and other screen display products were unveiled.
As the first brand in the world to launch and achieve mass production of Mini LED TVs, TCL continues to lead the Mini LED display technology, with the strongest Mini LED light control system in the whole link from backlight to imaging, and launched Vientiane partition technology, that is, a complete set of system-level Mini LED technology solutions covering light-emitting chips, lens technology, OD design, light control algorithms and screen panels, etc., which can achieve the image quality effect of "one area at most".
According to DSCC's authoritative data, TCL's global Mini LED TV shipments have jumped to the top in the world in the second quarter of 2024, and it has won the Mini LED TV sales championship in China for three consecutive years.
In addition to screen display products, TCL Industrial is actively expanding the smart IoT ecosystem across all categories, showcasing a range of smart home products, including companion AI products, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, smart door locks, security cameras, routers, and photovoltaic technology.
The theme of this year's CES is "DIVE IN", focusing on the technical development and practical application of AI. TCL showcased the world's first split AI companion robot, TCL Ai Me, which can not only achieve multi-modal natural interaction with people, but also provide emotional companionship, intelligent control of home appliances and other functions.
TCL Huaxing showcased a series of new products covering TV, display, car, laptop, mobile phone and other fields, as well as the advanced display technology brand APEX. TCL Huaxing's first mass-produced printed OLED 4K special display screen, the world's highest brightness printed QD-EL laptop screen, and TCL Huaxing's first world's highest brightness Micro LED car P-HUD screen were unveiled one by one. Among them, TCL Huaxing's first mass-produced printed OLED 4K special display screen was also exhibited overseas for the first time after the official mass production.
The APEX exhibition shows that TCL Huaxing continues to provide high-quality visual sensory enjoyment to global consumers through more pleasant display experiences, more reliable visual health, more sustainable green and low-carbon, and more infinite future imagination.
In addition to the products, TCL also specially set up TCLArt and Sports IP exhibition areas to display TCL Humanities IP on the spot. In the Sports IP exhibition area, as the official partner of the NFL, the first sports event in North America, TCL invited three NFL Hall of Famers stars, Charles Woodson, Jerome Bettis, and Warren Sapp, to interact with fans around the world.
At the exhibition site, Li Dongsheng and Zhang Chaoyang had a scientific and technological conversation, explaining the "hard technology" behind TCL's new technology products from the perspective of physics, and conducting in-depth discussions on topics such as basic technological innovation and B-end industries going overseas.
"The real value of AI lies in application. TCL focuses on key directions to build AI core capabilities, solve actual business needs, and do not sprinkle pepper noodles." Regarding the future trend of going overseas, Li Dongsheng believes that the going overseas of B-end business is one of the trends of Chinese enterprises going overseas. "In the future, TCL will firmly promote a higher level of globalization, and empower B-end business to go overseas with the experience of globalization of C-end business."
Deepen the local layout
As a pioneer in the globalization of Chinese enterprises, TCL has firmly promoted globalization. In recent years, with global changes, TCL has strengthened local research and development, local production, and local marketing, and promoted overseas localization.
North America is a typical example of TCL's localization practices, including the establishment of a research and development center in Silicon Valley, the expansion of the Mexican MOKA manufacturing base, the new Mexican MASA manufacturing base, the signing of an official NFL partner, and the launch of TCL TV + streaming entertainment services.
In 2024, the AI film production application launched by TCL's US R & D center attracted the attention of the industry. In November 2024, the TCL China Theater in Hollywood premiered five short films generated by well-known writers and directors on the TCL AI content creation platform. This year, TCL plans to launch the first 90-minute AI film in North American theaters, further promoting the innovation and application of AI technology in the field of film and television creation.
Driven by the localization strategy, the North American business continues to grow. In the first three quarters of 2024, TCL TV retail volume ranked second in the United States, with shipments of 75 inches and above in the North American market increasing by 72.6% year-on-year, while global shipments totaled 20.01 million units, with a market share of 13.6%, ranking among the top two in the world. "The overall growth of the US business in 2024 is 20%," Li Dongsheng said after communicating with the North American team. "After reshaping the supply chain and optimizing the product structure, the North American business is expected to achieve 30% growth in 2025."
