According to IDC's"China Semi-Annual Liquid-Cooled Server Market(First Half of 2024)Tracking",China's liquid-cooled server market increased by 98.3%year-on-year in the first half of 2024,the market size reached 1.26 billion US dollars,and the shipment volume increased by 81.8%year-on-year.The liquid-cooled server market will continue to maintain high growth.IDC also expects that from 2023 to 2028,China's liquid-cooled server will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 47.6%,and the market size is expected to reach 10.20 billion US dollars in 2028.
The IDC report believes that liquid-cooled servers saw such a significant growth in the first half of the year,mainly due to factors such as the acceleration of the infrastructure update cycle and the increase in investment in the construction of intelligent computing infrastructure equipment,which led to the advance of the procurement cycle of liquid-cooled servers in related industries,driving the explosive growth of the market.
Among all liquid cooling technologies,cold plate liquid cooling and immersion liquid cooling are the most mainstream liquid cooling forms at present.Among them,cold plate liquid cooling is the most widely used.The reason is that it has more advantages in terms of transformation cost,maintainability and compatibility,and has become the mainstream choice in the current and even future market.At present,cold plate liquid cooling occupies an absolute leading position in the market,accounting for more than 95%of the liquid cooling market.Although immersion liquid cooling has better cooling effect,it has general maintainability and compatibility,and is mostly used in high power density cabinets.
