/PRZWT/April 09, 2024, Yantai - Recently, Wanhua Chemical's 120MWp agricultural-optical complementary photovoltaic power generation project invested and constructed in Zhaoyuan City, Yantai, Shandong Province was officially put into operation!
In 2022, Wanhua Chemical and Huaneng Shandong officially established a joint venture company, planning to develop 120MWp light complementary project, which is expected to generate 170 million degrees of electricity per year, equivalent to reducing 170,000 tons of carbon emissions, and the generated electricity is partially transported to the Yantai power grid to realize the social increment of green power.
At the same time, the agricultural-solar complementary photovoltaic power station uses solar power to generate electricity, with the characteristics of no pollution and zero emissions. It produces clean energy while taking into account agricultural production, providing a suitable environment for crop cultivation and animal husbandry. This model not only makes rational use of land resources, but also can effectively improve the comprehensive utilization rate of land and promote the development of green ecological agriculture models.
In recent years, Wanhua Chemical has continued to invest up the ante clean energy project, and has moved towards the company's dual-carbon goal of "peak carbon dioxide emissions in 2030 and carbon neutrality in 2048" through a series of projects such as wind power, photovoltaics, and nuclear power. The timely commissioning of the agricultural-optical complementary photovoltaic power generation project in Zhaoyuan City reflects Wanhua Chemical's solid confidence in unswervingly promoting sustainable development.
In the future, as more new energy projects are connected to the grid and put into operation, Wanhua Chemical expects to achieve more than 50% of the company's green electricity in 2030, and achieve full coverage of clean electricity in Wanhua Chemical China Industrial Park in 2035, continuing to build a greener, lower-carbon future!
