On April 8, at the second Huawei Cloud TechWave Global Technology Summit, Huawei Cloud announced the release of a new generation of computing examples, and various models of examples will be opened to public testing. The new generation of computing example is based on Huawei cloud optimizer architecture and is equipped with the third generation of Intel ® Xjomon ® scalable processor (code :IceLake). Compared with the previous generation, the computing power is improved by more than 50%. In terms of computing, thanks to the long-term cooperation between Huawei and Intel, it is equipped with the third generation Intel ® Xander ® scalable processor (code :IceLake) and deeply customized and optimized. Compared with the previous generation of computing examples, the computing power is significantly upgraded, the single-core computing performance is increased by 15%, the maximum computing power of the entire system is increased by more than 50%, the memory frequency is upgraded from 2933MHz to 3200MHz, and SHA instruction acceleration is introduced to improve the efficiency of HASH intensive applications and further improve the processing performance in high-load scenarios.

In the aspect of network, since the industry's first 10-million-level network packet forwarding instance C3ne was released in 2018, after two generations of instance development, the new generation of network packet forwarding capacity will be the first to break the capacity of 40 million PPS. At the same time, the Intranet bandwidth will be increased to more than 100Gbps, bringing greater bandwidth and lower delay for video live broadcast, social/short video , games, high performance computing and other scenarios provide more network processing power.

In terms of storage, the ultra-fast SSD cloud disk can carry millions of IOPS and hundreds of microsecond delay. In addition, the maximum throughput is increased to 4GB/s, and the maximum cloud disk capacity is increased to 32TB, which further meets the performance requirements of high I/O scenarios such as high-performance relational databases and Hadoop distributed computing.

In terms of security, it fully supports physical and virtual trusted computing. Combined with Huawei's own enterprise-level security capabilities, it can realize encrypted computing of private data in finance, government and other scenarios such as multi-party data trusted computing and multi-party joint modeling, so as to provide customers with trusted infrastructure on the cloud.

At this summit, Zhang Yuxin, CTO of Huawei Cloud, made an in-depth interpretation of the new upgrade of the five dimensions of performance, stability, security, efficiency and infrastructure.

In terms of performance, based on Huawei All-flash storage engine and CurreNET next-generation RDMA network technology, full I/O path performance is accelerated to achieve 100 microsecond memory delay and 10 microsecond network delay. In terms of stability, the software and hardware cooperative system is used to provide stable and deterministic QoS for tenant services. For example, the two-level hardware QoS of virtual machines and network cards is used to ensure the multi-dimensional certainty of bandwidth, PPS, session connection number, etc. In terms of security, it provides a safe and trusted system with zero errors in the whole process such as data encryption, safe startup, hardware identity certificate, etc. In terms of efficiency, it implements common pool scheduling of resources with different particle sizes, such as virtual machine/bare machine/container, and realizes accurate fault prediction and hotspot elimination based on Yaoguang distributed Cloud operating system. In terms of infrastructure construction, L1/L2/L3 collaboration is used to create a full-stack data center with extreme cost and minimalist intelligence.
