On November 24th, the "10th Australia-China Distinguished Alumni Award Presentation Dinner 2018" hosted by ACAA Australia-China Alumni Association and sponsored by TOEFL was held at the Westin Hotel in Beijing. "Australia-china Distinguished Alumni Award", as the most grand event for returning Australian alumni, has been hotly discussed and concerned by alumni. This year marks the 10th year of the Alumni Awards. About 200 outstanding alumni, Australian government officials, and representatives of Chinese and Australian enterprises attended the dinner. Ms. Ann Sijie, Australian Ambassador to China, the spokesperson of ACAA, also attended the dinner and made a welcoming speech.

About Australia-China Alumni Association
The Australia China Alumni Association was established in Beijing in 2007 under the auspices of the Australian Ambassador to China, and has since amassed more than 23,000 alumni members from Australian universities in China.
Through the annual Australia-China Distinguished Alumni Award, mentor program, local alumni reception, career development activities, industry forums, ACAA serves all alumni who have graduated from Australian universities and now live in China. The Australia-China Alumni Association provides a platform for Australian alumni to showcase themselves and promote economic and cultural exchanges between Australia and China. ACAA has offices in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, as well as regular volunteers in other major cities.
About Australia-China Distinguished Alumni Award
Australia-china Distinguished Alumni Awards (hereinafter referred to as "Alumni Awards") is the flagship activity of the Australia-China Alumni Association of ACAA. Since its inception in 2009, the Alumni Awards have been recognized and supported by the Australian government, Australian universities and alumni. It has become one of the largest and most influential Australian alumni events in China, attracting much attention and discussion among alumni groups.
There are eight categories for the Alumni Awards, which are open for nominations in July each year. The Alumni Awards will assess the nominee's achievements based on six general selection criteria: Australian educational impact, social impact, contribution to China-Australia relations, service to the community, exemplary role and media appeal.
