At present, the new industrialization revolution of digitalization, networking and intelligentization is developing vigorously, rapidly changing industrial and economic development. In the industrial sector, the traditional manufacturing sector is undergoing intelligent upgrading and transformation, creating historic new opportunities for global economic development. In this context, Omron insists on leading S&C+T technology to lead the innovation of manufacturing production site, so as to promote the transformation of old and new driving forces, and make unremitting efforts to realize the intelligent society. Chairman Fumio Tateishi said at the parallel forum that the corporate philosophy of "creating a better society", the SINIC theory of predicting the future and the exploration of the integration relationship between man and machine are the keys to Omron's ability to promote technological innovation and development.

The Meaning of Innovation: "Creating a Better Society"

Omron has always regarded "creating a better society" as the meaning of its existence and continuous innovation. In 1959, Omron's founder Kazujin Tateishi, Fumio Tateishi's father, set out Omron's corporate mission: "To use our work to improve our lives and create a better society. Since then, Omron, based on this corporate philosophy, has continuously invested in the research and development of new technologies and training of professionals, and actively solved various social issues. Omron was the first to create and invent the railway traffic automatic ticketing system, automatic teller machine and so on, which are widely used today.

The Compass of Innovation: SINIC Theory for Predicting the Future

The future-oriented corporate values are the source of Omron's unwavering belief and development; The SINIC theory, which can predict the future, is Omron's compass to continuously promote cutting-edge technology research and development and business innovation. SINIC theory demonstrates that science, technology and society form a circle and interact in two different directions. One direction is the impact of new science and technology on society for change; In the other direction, the needs of society promote the development of new technologies, which in turn become an incentive for the development of new sciences. Because of the correlation between these two directions, the theory of promoting social development through interaction and mutual results was established. SINIC theory describes the future vision under the mutual influence of technology, science and society, and accurately predicts the stage of social development up to the first half of the 21st century, such as the emergence of information society and the most reasonable society.

Under the guidance of "SINIC theory", Omron goes back to the specific state of enterprise development at the node of 3-7 years, and calls it "near future design". The near future design is the comprehensive detailed design planning of the enterprise system structure, necessary technology, intellectual property, business model and so on. Through such a design process, the gap in current technology can be understood and the discontinuous gap can be overcome through innovation. In order to achieve this goal, Omron has developed a medium-term business plan "VG2.0", which focuses on promoting technological innovation and business activities in the four fields of industrial automation, health care, intelligent transportation and energy management. At the same time, OMRON set up a new company this year, "OMRON SINIC X Co., LTD.", with the responsibility of "designing ideal near future", to draw a blueprint for the future under the background of technological innovation and social change. By virtue of Omron's unique "technological management", Omron can improve its innovation ability to solve social issues in the near future.

Industrial Innovation: The New harmony between man and Machine

At present, the problem of high labor cost and shortage of labor has become a common problem facing the whole manufacturing industry. In order to cope with this global social issue, Omron, with the leading FA technology, constantly innovates the production technology and production site solutions to help the intelligent upgrading of the manufacturing industry. At this Expo, Omron brought the fourth generation FORPHEUS table tennis robot, which symbolizes the future "harmonious relationship between man and machine", and the robot integrated production line to realize the high speed, high precision and flexible response to the change of production demand at FA site. Forpheus was born in 2013. The production of Forpheus represents Omron's emphasis on the Chinese market and Omron's determination to contribute to intelligent manufacturing in China. For the next five years or more, Omron will continue to build on the evolving S&C+T technology to upgrade the FA and AI technologies on Forpheus, making it a solid foundation for China's manufacturing upgrade.

Omron, as one of the earliest foreign enterprises to enter China, has been committed to applying the world's leading S&C+T core technology to the manufacturing industry, promoting the intellectualization and upgrading of the production site, bringing innovative solutions, and developing together with the Chinese society. As Fumio Tashishi said at the end of the forum, "Omron will continue to invest in the development of forward-looking technologies and innovative inventions. Through the 'Sensing & Control + Think' technology, Omron is looking forward to bringing forward the vision of future machinery and creating a better future together with our Chinese partners."
