2013 China RV camping industry survey results released

Rv and camping industry in China is still in the initial stage of development. In order to understand the market situation of RV camping in China and the views of industry professionals on the industry, to explore the public's demand for RV camping industry, and to provide reference data for the steady development of the industry, in 2013, The organizer of the China International RV Exhibition has opened up the section of "China RV camping industry Survey" in the online audience pre-registration. The organizer, together with senior industry experts from associations, enterprises and media, selected 10 representative questions and conducted a questionnaire survey among the pre-registered audience. A total of 166 audience members volunteered to fill in the questionnaire. The age structure of participants is as follows:

The survey results show that:

85.71% of them have the experience of self-drive travel, 45.83% of them have the experience of outdoor camping, and 33.33% of them have the experience of RV travel. The number of people who already own RV only accounted for 13.79%, which is lower than previously expected, which shows that China's RV sales market still has a huge space, and also indicates that a large number of visitors to the China International RV Show is a potential consumer group. 65.52% of people choose "willing to participate in RV travel experience activities", of which about half are planning to buy or lease RV, and 80% are planning to buy self-propelled RV when comparing self-propelled RV and trailer RV. The organizer analysis this is likely to take into account the license in China and on the road, self-propelled RV more convenient.

For the choice of imported RV and domestic RV, the difference is not large.

On the purchase of RV when the main factors, choose "RV performance and quality (driving, safety, comfort, etc.)" accounted for an amazing 90.47%, followed by the "after-sales service". When asked "compared with the traditional way of travel, RV travel to your biggest attraction", choose "more flexible travel plan, enjoy life anytime and anywhere" and "a new way of travel, personalized embodiment" most.

In the survey, the respondents believe that China needs to improve in the following aspects to promote RV camping tourism:

1. Popularity of RV and camping travel

2. Construction and improvement of campsites

3. Convenience of RV use (obtaining vehicle insurance, vehicle license, legal road, parking space, etc.)

4. Rv after-sales service (warranty period, RV use training, daily maintenance, after-sales service network, parts replacement, etc.)
